Gucci Mane isn’t holding any punches. Just days before his Verzuz battle against his longtime foe Jeezy, Guwop shared a meme that some fans have called both equally petty and chilly. 

The image was taken from a Court Cam episode in which a man lunges towards his daughter’s suspected murderer. The still shot was captioned: “go dig ya partna up n***a I guess he just can’t he say shit”—lyrics from Gucci’s 2012 keep track of “Fact.” The music references the demise of Jeezy associate Henry L. Clarke III, aka rapper Pookie Loc. 

In 2005, Pookie Loc and three other guys broke into Gucci’s home and allegedly started assaulting him. At one position in the course of the attack, Gucci grabbed his gun and ended up wounding Pookie Loc right before the men fled the scene. The Jeezy affiliate was found dead shortly right after at a nearby elementary university. Gucci was billed with Pookie Loc’s murder, but was in the end acquitted just after arguing self-defense.

The deadly incident transpired adhering to Gucci and Jeezy’s dispute around the legal rights to the 2005 single “Icy.” It is been alleged that Jeezy requested the assault on Gucci following placing a $10,000 bounty on his chain. Guwop also references this in the initially verse of “Truth”: “A $10,000 bounty put on my neck I hope you failed to pay back them, ’cause they failed to have no accomplishment.”
