Jack Harlow Clarifies Why He Did not Remove Tory Lanez From “Whats Poppin” Remix

When Megan Thee Stallion shared that Tory Lanez shot her, several artists responded by taking away Lanez from tracks they released with him. Kehlani notably taken off the Canadian rapper from her track “Can I,” but Jack Harlow did not take out him from the “Whats Poppin” remix, which also highlighted DaBaby and Lil Wayne. In an interview on Energy 106 Los Angeles, Harlow defined why he failed to think about getting rid of him from the remix.

Ahead of the arrival of his debut album Thats What They All Say, which however options the remix, the 22-yr-previous rapper defended the selection not to take away Lanez or Wayne, who came under hearth for endorsing President Donald Trump. “I never think I am God,” Harlow replied when questioned about that final decision. “I really don’t have no home to decide any person. I was not there when this and that occurred, I really don’t know just about anything.”

He went on to propose that there is certainly “a specified integrity you have to keep as an artist,” and that there are “a few sides to each story.” When the matter of “cancel tradition,” a phrase folks use to dismiss criticism regardless of whether it is really valid or not, arrived up, Harlow just shook his head and claimed he “hate[s] the pack mentality.” “Just a ton of judgment and laziness and… you know, men and women usually are not best bro. I feel like people really should be equipped to recover from their blunders.”

He added that he thinks that “they” can’t wait around for an opportunity to “cancel” him, whoever “they” might be. 

Elsewhere in the interview, Harlow also opened up about some of the criticism he’s faced considering the fact that he hit the scene, and reported that most of the dislike he receives is from white individuals. “I remember noticed any individual conversing bad about me on the internet, and you know you see that kind of stuff all the time, but I observed somebody seriously think piece it up,” he reported. “Obtained actually analytical and experimented with to shred me… and you know, it was just yet another white guy.”
